The Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry, in cooperation with local chambers of commerce across the state, is preparing for this year’s Fall Forum. In total, State Chamber staff will visit 30 communities this tour.
In Keith County, this forum will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at Front Street Steakhouse in Ogallala beginning at 12 noon and lasting until 1:30 p.m.
This year, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, and Executive Director of Blueprint Nebraska, Jim Smith, will provide an outline of the vision, aspirations and initiatives adopted through one of the largest statewide, public input processes on economic growth. Wednesday's event may include an update on this important research which involved 2,000 residents and leaders at more than 60 events across 30 regions of the state, as well as 320 advisers and 5,000 completed surveys.
A significant portion of the forum will be dedicated to updates on Blueprint Nebraska’s statewide economic development initiatives. Blueprint Nebraska seeks to establish a comprehensive, long-term plan to stimulate the state’s economic growth, competitiveness and prosperity, while building on current strengths.
For more than three decades, the Nebraska Chamber has conducted these forums to gather input from the business community on issues of concern. All local chamber of commerce members, as well as members of the news media, are encouraged to attend. Elected leaders are also invited.
