Pony Express for Children's Mental Health
The Pony Express Ride Across Nebraska, Raising Awareness for Children's Mental Health!
May is mental health month. To bring focus to mental health needs of Nebraska's children, a reenactment of the pony express will cross Nebraska May 15-18.
The iron horse brigade will ride from Scottsbluff to Omaha and then to the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln. At stops all along the route the motorcyclists will pick up signed letters to Governor Rickets that carry the message of need for greater mental health care and support of those suffering from mental health issues.
The motorcyclists are scheduled to stop in Ogallala on Thursday, May 16th at 11:10 A.M. at Trails West CASA, 307 West A Street in Ogallala. Letters to the Governor can be signed at the CASA office or you may write a personal letter and deliver it to the CASA office. Letters will also be available for signature at Taco Jan's, 620 East 1st Street.
Come to meet the riders as they arrive in Ogallala and cheer them on their way. The riders may arrive ahead of schedule, so please plan to be at 307 West A Street 15 minutes early.
