Event Description:
The Grant & Ogallala Women's Connection will be exploring the theme of survival during its meeting at 2:30 p.m. Oct 18 in the First United Congregational Church . The special feature of the meeting will be a presentation from Ogallala firefighter Rick Bourque, titled " Fire Safety is More than Stop, drop and Roll." Susan Finney fro Winfield, Kansas will be the guest speaker. She will share her story, "Then, I Heard Gunshots," as she tells her miraculous survival of a gunshot wound when an errant rifle bullet shattered her car window and struck her in the face. Refreshments will be provided. The public is invited. Thickets are $5 at the door.
